Day 1: Arrive Kochi

On arrival in Cochin, you will be met by our representative ,transferred to your hotel
and assisted with check in. Enjoy a day of complete relaxation taking in the diversity
of a multicultural town. Cochin has been influenced by the Chinese, French and the
Portugese and you will find a wonderful mix of cultures. The area of Fort Cochin is
excellent to enjoy early morning or evening walks and explore the city on foot.

Day 2: Kochi Sightseeing

After breakfast, Proceed for a city tour of Kochi where you will visit the most popular
attractions like Vasco Da Gama Square, the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, St. Francis
CSI Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace,
etc. Learn how the locals cast the famous Chinese fishing nets. These nets were built
with teak and bamboo poles & work on the principle of balance.Records say these
were established here between 1350 and 1450.Vasco Da Gama Square,with its narrow
promenade, parallel to the beach is the best place to watch the nets down and
pulled out of the sea, For more cultural insights, spend some time in the evening to
witness a classical dance drama. Kathakali - known for the attractive makeup of the
characters and elaborate costumes.

Day 3: Kochi to Thekkady ( 4 Hours drive)

After breakfast, you will be driven to Thekkady through winding roads, tranquil
countryside, rich plantations and thick jungles. Thekkady (Idukki district) is where
the Periyar National Park is located. If you're lucky you will see herds of wild
elephants that come down to play in the lake. It is also heaven for natural spices such
as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and clove.

Day 5: Thekkady to Munnar

Enjoy breakfast at your own leisure before you drive to the beautiful hill station
Munnar. Tucked away in sunny, tropical Munnar is a cool green paradise. Hidden
away from heat and dust amidst the state’s finest tea plantations is Munnar. Set at an
altitude of 6000 ft, Munnar is a breathtakingly beautiful haven of peace and
tranquillity and is undoubtedly one of the most wonderful hill stations of South India.
On arrival you will check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 6: Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast you will visit a local Tea Factory which is interesting and you can also
meet a few local tea pickers before you enjoy a guided walk through the Tea
Plantations. You will then visit the Tea museum & experience the Tea tasting
followed by a visit to Kannan Devan Hills where you have panoramic views of Munnar
Tea Estates & Munnar Lake. The rest of the tour ends with a visit to the Rajmalai
National park. - this is the only sanctuary in India where one can spot the Indian
Ibex.

Day 7: Munnar to Kumarakom 4 hours drive

After breakfast at the hotel , drive to Kumarakom, which is the heart of beautiful
backwaters and lagoons. The area is interlinked with hundreds of winding canals,
and typical low slung country boats that carry everything from people to fish, rice
and coconuts to the milkman and newspaper boy. On arrival, you will check-in at
your hotel. Spend rest of the day relaxing.

Day 8: Kumarakom Backwaters

After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, located on
the banks of the Vembanad Lake; where numerous species of birds including
Darters, Bitterns, Brahminy kites, Marsh Harries, Teals and several varieties of Herons
roost are found. For an avid bird watcher, it is always advisable to carry your
binoculars. Enjoy a short cruise through the Narrow canals and coir villages in the
evening after which you will return to your hotel.

Day 9: Kumarakom to Alleppey Houseboat (1 hour drive)

Today you will enjoy the backwaters on your very own private houseboat. After
breakfast you will board your houseboat around 12:00 Noon and cruise through the
beautiful maze of backwaters. These house boats are available in one or two
bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and come with a kitchenette, an open lounge,
deck and a three crew member team- the oarsmen, a cook and guide. All meals will
be served on board the houseboat.

Day 10: Alleppey to Kovalam 180 Kms

After you disembark the houseboat,you’ll then drive to your resort at Kovalam,
featuring three beaches that make up one of the most popular coastal retreats in
India. With time at leisure following your arrival, you can take a dip in the sea, spend
time relaxing on the beach or explore one of the local villages to sample coconut
beer – created from the many coconut trees to be found in the area.

Full day is at Leisure at the beach resort or explore nearby beaches in Kovalam, visit
a local market

After breakfast, check out from the hotel depending on your flight departure time
& depart to Trivandrum International Airport, you will be transferred to Trivandrum
